hXBdJkTDgbwThen you can have them together. This was cut in 1983 at a local television station in Hamilton Ontario Canada. It was from a show called in session. It has to be one of the best albums that shows how much SRV was influenced by Albert King. There is an album and a video. Abolutely amazing. stuff.
Enjoy.
Edit: Sorry that the vid gets a little out of sync later but still amazing back and forth. It is sometimes hard to know who is playing, and I am sure Albert isn't doing an SRV impression.

With much of the US in deep freeze mode, here's an SRV selection that seems apropos. From the '89 ACL appearance--Stevie was great and the band was as tight as could be:

P.S. Though better known for his lead work, this video shows what an incredible rhythm player he was, too. SMOKIN'!!!

Yea: I purchased his tab book from his early hits. I was amazed at how much strummin he actually did. The leads and the intros are just about all that he is know for. Most of his work was strummin chords.
