The discussion on the upcoming Jimi Hendrix album made me look at other similar releases that have been made after an artist's death.
What are some of your picks for a great album released after someone's death? I personally love a well recorded live album over studio albums. New, live, or re-release... it doesn't matter.
One that I recently bought captures Stevie Vaughan & Double Trouble (before he went by Stevie Ray Vaughan) live in 1980, called "In The Beginning (Live) (http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Stevie-Vaughan-Double-Trouble/dp/B0000028V0)". This is a somewhat raw sound, but the energy and performance is a must for any fan.

The SRV "Live at Carnegie Hall (http://www.amazon.com/Live-Carnegie-Hall-Stevie-Vaughan/dp/B000002BYA/ref=pd_sim_m_1)" and the 1983 concert album, "In Session" with Albert King (http://www.amazon.com/Session-Albert-King/dp/B0028NSE5K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1263333678&sr=1-1) are also fantastic must-haves for blues-rock fans.
Jimi Hendrix "Blues" (http://www.amazon.com/Blues-Jimi-Hendrix/dp/B000002OSK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1263334214&sr=1-1) is an excellent collection of what I feel was some of his best work.
