Fuel pump or fuel delivery is the first thing I thought of too.

Could be a bad fuel pressure regulator or a dirty strainer too. On the more extreme end (for GM anyway) it could also be the control module with an intermittent open as the unit heats up during use.

What was that about a 19 year old?
