saw warren haynes/gov't mule last night....

at the house of blues! best show i have ever seen!!! they played for almost 3 1/2 hours! i was 5-10 feet from the stage and got one of warren's guitar pick's!!

oh yeah....steve morse showed up and played a third of the show with mule!!

this was a great show....the mix was excellent....we were 5-10 feet or so from the stage and everyone was perfectly clear in the mix....

as for gear....

warren haynes played a variety of gibsons including several les pauls (including a 12 string) and a couple of firebirds....he didn't play any acoustic at all....

he had his two amps....a Soldano SLO-100 into a tone tubby cab and a Caesar Diaz CD-100 amp into a marshall cab....

his bassist played mostly a fender p-bass into some sort of ampeg head and cab....

steve morse played a music man guitar into a fuchs head and a cab i didn't recognize....

Ya lucky dawg! That had to be an excellent show.

I think Warren Haynes could play an ironing board with strings and make it sound good! The man is a tone machine. The recent Gov't Mule album is one of their best ever.
