Sonny Landreth doing a tune. About 1 minute in, the camera gets in CLOSE to his right hand and you can see very clearly his extraordinary technique.

That subtle right hand dampening is an art unto itself.

Found a lesson from Derek Trucks that is nice as well. Most of it is on slide.

I'm always noodling(open tunings ect)I noticed that thumb pick also,the one he's using looks to be the size of a regular pick,I use those thin suckers and they just don't feel right.I'll have to try one as I am trying more pick and fingers.Good find!Sumi:D
