Some say it could be either a Mosrite , or a Yamaha ,or a Hagstroma,a Black Widow ,a Westone or simply just a fake photo ..

Lookin at the neck pick up i d say a Gretch..

Matsumoku of Japan made a guitar with the Univox brand that more or less fits this picture. Equal cutaways, german carve, etc. Sadly they didn't make them until the mid-70s.
Mosrites were usually asymmetrical but there were quite a lot of far eastern "Moswrongs" made when the brand was popular in the 60s (blame The Ventures!). Something about that headstock screams 60s jap' guitar to me.

Also, when trying to determine the origin of something, not a bad idea to check the name on the file...;)

Jimi must have hit himself in the head turning it over to play, I see a band aid on his brow....:socool :DI believe the story goes, he'd been drinking earlier, was in a bad mood, and either got into a scuffle or was trashing stuff around, and got konked. Couldn't find the quotes in a search, and there's more to the tale, but the facts are out there.
