I've had this guitar for a little while; I'm hanging on to it with the intention of giving it to my ex-girlfriend's son, who's expressed an interest in learning guitar. The stock bridge pickup never did work right, the volume on it was almost non-existent. I finally got around to replacing the p'ups tonight, and they sound great. I think it looks much better, too.

Sorry, I have no recording devices, so no clips. Just photos.

Note: I did adjust the pickup height after these were taken. Also raised the bridge a hair to compensate for the additional height of the new p'ups.

Nice work, Sean!

That is a mighty fine looking SG. I think it looks a lot better with the new covered pups. That's very cool of you to do this for the lad.

Nice covered pups. What are they? Which model SG is it?

I WANT a black SG. I have a beautiful sounding, etc., perfect stock Epi '66 Gibson copy of a standard SG. It is gloss cherry transparent and is an awesome sounding and playing guitar. I want a black SG in another version now, maybe P ninety.

My brand new on the fourth of July GC sale Gibson faded SG was stolen from me by a nephew I helped out. So much for helping out relatives in trouble. Fourty three years old. No one else would take him in. Stole my Fender Hwy One fat strat as well. F(((((.

Got an Am. Std. Strat in Blizzard Pearl, a real beauty and a Michael Kelly Patriot Custom with Rockfield Pups with the insurance money, so I didn't make out too bad after all. The idea of being burned by a relative is unpleasant though. I've heard relatives can be the worst when it comes to things like this.

Well, I'm happy with my new guitars so I will move forward and put some things and people in the past.
