1-3/4" at the nut, 2-1/4 at the body if I remember correctly.

I really like that rootbeer finish. If it wasn't for the deal I got on my B-stock AL3000, I was looking seriously at the Rootbeer axe. Good pick!

How does it sound? LP like or does it have it's own tone style?
I must admit it looks great I would love to have Strat in that color for sure.

The Rootbeer finish is one of my faves. I'm anticipating some pics when this guitar comes in.

Congrats in advance! Be forewarned... Spudman is gonna ask if you're aware of the recall. As I have designated myself the NGD Guitar Recall Processing Center, feel free to send it to me where I will care for it in an appropriate manner.

And by "appropriate manner" I mean "by playing the snot out of it."

Gotta say, the slim neck 3100 Spalted looks pretty hawt too.

Rev, don't you need a Les Paul type guitar ?

Boy that will be a wide flat neck. 13.7 radius with jumbo frets. Nice color and the price is amazing. Let us know what you think of the neck. Most of my Gibson are 12" with the standard nut width. I have both profiles both 50s and 60s. I would be interested in finding out what you think of this neck.
Did you order their brown hardshell case? They look killer for the money as well.

"Need"? No. Would like? Perhaps.

Nice one Monkus!

My 3100M has the wide neck also, 1-3/4" as advertised. It's actually about 1/32" less than that which puts it just 1/32" from 1-11/16" just like a Gibson LP.

Of the four Agiles I now own, this neck has the nicest feel. It's not Agile's "slim taper" neck, but it feels about like a Gibson 60's taper neck. Very nice in the hand and to me, less "crowded" at the first couple of frets.

I think you're gonna' like it...but not the wait 'til it gets here...

Thanks for the warm words guys, cant wait, it'll take a couple weeks since it has to go to Miami then here to Trinidad. I'll let you all know as soon as I get it. Its in a large part to the fret that I got this. This will be my first guitar bought that I didn't play. Kurt over at Rondo is very helpful as well.

now to wait aaaarrrrggghhh! :drool

I think it sounds like a Gibby Lp, at least from the not so good you tube videos, I will only be able to tell when I get it. I originally thought that this was going to be a mod guitar but from the responses on the forums and reviews, it doesn't seem so. A lot of people think it sounds good out of the box.

It took a bit of doing to order it as my cc is not domiciled in the US, but....

....FedEx has been notified !!!! Should get to Miami on the 18th !

Mine sounds like an LP. It doesn't have quite the same bark as my Epi Tribute LP, but it's not worlds away, either. I got the slim profile neck, and it feels and plays very much like the Epi.

Have fun with it, Monkus. It's worth the wait.

I just bought two Lps; One Epi and one Agile. I don't need more. I don't. Really, I don't...

That Rootbeer finish is so gorgeous. Maybe next tax return...

One quick thing to add. My Agile was set up better than my Epi Tribute. And it has a Tusq nut, and hand-filed frets. These things are really a steal at what Kurt is charging. I just hope he never catches on to that fact.

Delivered at the office. Couldn't sit still all morning. The finish is impeccable and the setup seems great. The case is awesome, glad I put in the extra 10 spot. I'll give her the once over when i get home.

Very nice! I can almost taste a rootbeer candy (although I'd prefer a mug of A&W's). I'd be interested to know what the finish on the back of the neck is like. I prefer some kind of satin finish but on Rondo's site they all look like they've got a pretty glossy finish.

thanks Tig !

marnold: Here is a pic of the back. I took it this morning before I left to go to the office so it is kinda crappy but hope it serves. If not let me know and I'll try again, but you're right its glossy but not slippery. If anything the ebony fretboard is "slicker" ? If that's the right term to use.

BTW, are those two fire extinguishers back there for those times when your playing progresses from smoldering to smokin' to flat-out incendiary?? :D

Monkus
March 23rd, 2010, 11:57 AM
thanks DVM I thought it might be easier on the forum. The extinguishers sneaked in for the pic. They were gone when I was done. :poke

marnold, its the same finish but seems well...lighter on the back of the neck, I'll check it fer sure later.

Very Nice Clean tone and a pretty good OD + boost channel ..
6V6 Fender type sounding....
