I just went to Amazon and listened to clips of the rest of her album "Believe." It's like a Kelly Clarkson album with this song tacked on. This song is totally incongruous with the rest of the album.

She certainly has the chops...but she really needs to decide what genre of music she is going to push. I agree that cd is all over the place. In this video...Vai cracks me up....he is such a performer....

I've only heard this tune and seen the video for "According to You". Y'all are right. The instrumental rips, and the song is kinda, well, "meh." The singing is good, and she certainly has chops, but it sounds like she was pushed into a cookie cutter mold. I hope she gains some artistic freedom to do more like the instrumental.

Totally agree...
Big disappointment for me.
Radio plays the one "hit" every five minutes, so I'm sure the kids will fill the venue when she tours.
Unless she takes a different direction on a followup, I have no interest.
