This looks incredibly interesting -

James Tyler Variax is the first truly advanced guitar of the 21st century, and its story is as deep and colorful as a flame-top finish.

What makes a JTV a JTV? Simple: an innovative design and boutique playing experience courtesy of master luthier James Tyler, and the world’s most advanced guitar modeling technology from the people who invented it, Line 6.

That would explain why the Line 6 rep was so coy in this month's Premier Guitar interview.

Very interesting! Being Tyler guitars they will probably cost a lot.. I hope that the variax technology will be available from other guitar makers too.

They won't come cheap, that's for sure. They have been working together for a couple of years, these 2 companies, in developing this new Variax.

Actually the USA version that we will be building with Tyler's supervision will be pricey (3699 to 4499) but killer and we have a Korean version that a killer maker named World is building. They are real luthiers. Those guitars will be high quality but affordable. (1099 to 1299)

Thanks Rich, good to hear! Never heard of "World" but that price range sounds great. When will they be available for purchase?

I think World Music are the people that build the PRS SE range. I've always been pretty impressed with those as I've been impressed with the acoustic sounds a local player gets from her Variax.
