I was actually surprised it took this long, but a local music store chain, Henri's Music, is going out of business (http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/local/henris-music-going-out-business-economy). They've had three locations in the area, the first opening in 1965. Part of me feels bad about it. They took a hit when they could no longer afford to carry Gibsons, etc. OTOH, I've never gotten particularly good service there. My church bought our organ and keyboard from them many years ago. That's the place where I found a used SX Jazz bass for a good chunk more than it cost to buy one new.

Yeah, lots of independently owned stores that helped put Gibson where they are today got squeezed right out of the picture when they were told they had to inventory prohibitive numbers of high priced guitars.
IMHO that's a big blunder on Gibson's part ~
But now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time they called asking me for advice ~ LOL
Where was Henri's located?

Where was Henri's located?
Green Bay, Appleton, and Oshkosh, WI. The Oshkosh store is already closed, AFAIK.
