From that same gig at Scalliwags as I've posted earlier.

This was one long jam, a bit too long I think, but what the hey - we were having fun anyway!

Seems like the audience is enjoying it a lot, so did I. The amph could have cut through the mix a little bit more. The Suhr sounds great in combination with the piano.

Hmm this is a cool jam...not what I was expecting I guess....Ice Cream Man just screams Van Halen to me.....but this sounds like a blues number.

Thanks, this is a Tom Waits tune.

Funny enough.. we're bending the VH version into a blues version. :-)

Pretty cool. I was thinking more like "Hit the Road Jack" as the progression started. Jaron could morph right into that.

It's not a VH song, it's a Tom Waits song released in 1973. Van Halen recorded their tune in 1977.

It's a fun tune to jam on. I can get in some jazzy lines on it, since the form opens up the harmony a bit for that.

Myra and I do a medley of Wade In The Water and Hit The Road Jack, and those tunes use the exact same form as this one. Plenty of songs out there copying Hit The Road Jack, which was released in 1961. :)
