Guitar Center officially owns Clapton's Blackie...you might remember the almost 1 Mio Dollar auction back then..

The Clap went down to GC i Manhattan to meet his old buddy Blackie and play a few notes on it. Just follow the link to see some beautiful pictures taken on that day and don't miss to read the interview. There's really some kind of deep love in Clapton's eyes when he plays that black Strat, don't you think so, too?
If you have read Clapton's biographie you know why he parted with Blackie and what important that very guitar was for Eric.

Very cool! Great thread, Jimi.

Looking at the photos, I was delighted to see that Eric, who has owned thousands of guitars, still acts like a kid in a candy store when he goes into a guitar shop.

"I have a great relationship with Fender," says Clapton. "They make guitars to my spec, and those are my working guitars.

Frigging shame they can't make decent guitars for everyone else. You buy a guitar then have to spend more money putting it right !
