Anybody heard of these? Saw this in the window of a local guitar shop (which doesn't carry major brands, but does have these, Hamers and Bugera amps)

they also have an abalone-covered LP style model with humbuckers, but this tele with bigsby looks cool. - apparently designed by Alan Entwhistle of the UK and made in Korea. Store was closed so I couldn't try it. From what I can find, they seem to be well-made and sell in the $500 range.

The T style you show looks like a really cool classic kinda guitar. I could live with it, I'm sure! :agree

I think I've seen them in a magazine, but know nothing about them otherwise. Their website (http://www.aldenguitarsales.com/index.html) has only photos of their models. Fairly artsy stuff.

Alan has been involved in guitar design since the early 60’s and his wealth of experience is showcased perfectly in the Alden range. Alden guitars are inspired by classic instruments of the last 5 decades though thanks to Alan’s creative design input none could be remotely described as “copies". All feature top quality hardware, Entwhistle designed pickups, premium materials, and superb construction supervised by the man himself! Well, I got to see this one today, and was not impressed close up, so didn't bother to plug it in. Made in China, not Korea, and definitely not the best of Chinese production. I should say that some of the other Alden models they had looked better put together, though.
