Well, inofficially the IM2 soundtrack is a great AC/DC best of. I was over at a friends house garden party two days ago and he played the soundtrack in its entirety - pretty loud.
The re-mastering is unbelievable, the sound is so cristal clear but direct, it feels totally analog, totally direct in your face. George Marino, the guy who mastered this cd did a perfect job. It's among the best masterings I've heard in a long long time. Of course we can discuss if the best AC/DC songs are really on that cd....but hey, it's a great song selection, perfect for the summer, perfect to listen to it in the car with the top down!
It's funny, but every time I listen to AC/DC for more than five minutes I rediscover how great this band is, how great the guitar work is.
Give the soundtrack a shot, you will be positively surprised.
