So I've been using my recently-purchased Tech 21 TM60 in full-band situations (i.e. a louder live situation), and I have a few questions.
Is this amp best used as a single-channel amp? I seem to have difficulty getting enough treble out of channel 2 when I switch from clean (ch 1) to dirty (ch 2).
How do you configure channel 2 to cut through? Right now I have a reasonable amount of gain (~10:00), decent growl/mid (11:00-12:00), and level as needed. Weep (even-order harmonics) is off. For the overall EQ, I have reverb at about 9:00, lows down (~10:00-11:00), and highs maxed out.
I'm using this with a LP-style guitar (Agile AL-3100), and on anything other than the bridge pickup, it seems to fade down into fuzz territory, though that does get quite loud if need be. I am 90% sure this is just me not knowing how to fully use the amp yet, but I am looking for some pointers.
I almost always play with some level of OD, maybe cleaning up for arpeggiated parts or other simple fills. I was assuming channel 2 would be my home, but do you think I'd have better luck on channel 1? All of these settings are from memory, so I'm not sure they're 100% accurate. I think they're at least pretty close.
Any help/input would be appreciated.
