Hi all,

Just looking to seek some advice here...

I'm looking at buying an old Eko pedal (surprise!) that I've come across. Made in the 60's for their Minstral Organ, I'm thinking that there's no reason it shouldn't work for a guitar?

Anyway, the point is, it doesn't work and the seller doesn't know what's wrong with it.

I have a shot of the inside of one here:

I'm wondering whether this might be a self repair job? Or would I be best to take this to a repair shop?

Any thoughts?

Oh, and incase it helps, here are a couple of other views:

Could be a ton of different things, from a broken wire to a burned out transformer. Does it pass clean signal when the pedal is turned off?

Unfortunately I have no idea - it's an eBay thing, so I wouldn't know until I bought it. (Guy doesn't play guitar, has no amps or whatever to test it out...)

I would personally stay away. In my experience, that whole I-have-no-way-of-knowing thing is a way to escape culpability for selling someone a piece of crap. Good luck with whatever you decide.

+1, unless you can get significantly more details on what's wrong or how the pedal acts....

I've just asked him a few questions... let's see how we go.
