While I was in Vancouver for the marathon weekend, Don and I hooked up for a coffee and a chat. I had a great time. Don took me to a great coffee place where they make really good coffee and latte art.

We also stopped by a music store, where I played a Classic Vibe tele through a Marshall Haze 40 - sounded great! I also tried a Vintage Modern and an MA amp. I thought the Marshall MA amp sounded really lame. The Vintage Modern didn't sound great at low volume, but cranked up it does for sure. But then we're talking LOUD.

Don, I want to say, BIG THANKS for taking the time to hook up for a chat, and for buying me coffee! That's serious business when you're dealing with a caffeine addict like myself! :crazyguy

Always cool to be able to meet fellow Fretters in person. It's also nice to have a pic of Don sober. Just kidding, Don!

Very cool, Robert. Now I feel like I need some COFFEE!!!

That is great! I love when stuff like that happens. I am jealous, as I am missing the PNW. It looks like it was beautiful for your visit.

I get to visit Seattle in a couple weeks for a college reunion. I will be busy both nights with the reunion, but if you want to hang out with a bunch of middle aged former fraternity guys at the Duchess Tavern (U-District), I will be there on Friday.

Cool! Does Don have veins too? Music store and coffee can be a good combination for sure.

No worries, the pleasure was all mine. I'm just glad I didn't make you too late to your event. BTW, congratulations on your run! I saw that you won $300, just one more run and that Classic Vibe is paid for! :dude

No, this is totally true. I am much more photogenic when the beer goggles are on.

That coffee was awesome, man!

I am really drooling over a Classic Vibe Tele too... these guitars are very nice. I will have to get one.

You certainly put it through a nice workout! (I'll delete these videos if you don't want them posted).

Watch it, Don - last time I went to a guitar store with Robert, I was the one who ended up buying something that Robert demo'd...! Fretter meet-ups are a good time.

You make that thing sound great Robert; I've been looking on youtube for a good CV tele demo and now we have it! I'm feeling that gaseous urge rise up again.... Looked like a good price on that one, too... Did you try any of the other CV tele's by any chance?

Meetups rawk!

That CV Tele sounded great with the overdriven tones.

And that coffee looked almost too purty to drink!

I've got one of those Pinecasters, Robert, and I'm in need of a good reverb pedal and/or harmonizing pedal. I was gonna offer up a trade, but then I watched those vids of you and they sounded so good, now I don't know. :P

Keep it dude. It's the best tele you can ever get for that kind of money.
