I love this guy's playing and tone. He has a new live DVD (http://www.johnnya.com/) out that I picked up--great stuff.

From the new DVD, probably my favorite tune of his:

DuhVM recommended him, once, and we catch him often, here in the Boston area.

He does a live "The Wind Cries Mary" that is something to hear, good bumps stuff, at least for me.
It is also a sad reminder that we will never hear JH play it..

The band changes around a bit, but his regular drummer has a clean and measured (minimalist?) style I like a lot. Not same guy as in second vid though.

EDIT: 2nd video, I am pretty sure I was at that show... now need to get the DVD to confirm!

I'm a big fan of JohnnyA's playing. I also like his signature model guitar. I want one of those.

Me, too! But at $4.600 (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Custom-Johnny-A.-Signature-Electric-Guitar-with-Bigsby-?sku=517207), I won't be getting one anytime soon.... :nope
