Poodlesrule's House Salad Dressing:
(after Uncle Francis')

Quantities are for a salad for four, roughly, but is not so much about quantities as it is about the sequence of assembly. Just add more liquids to scale up.

Goes like this:

Drop a small amount of mustard in empty salad bowl -small= half-pecan size, Dijon mustard best, others OK.

Add a spoonful+ of red wine or cider vinegar.

Dissolve mustard blobs in vinegar with spoon- this is the only "secret" here!

Fine-chop a clove or two of garlic, and add to mixture in salad bowl.

Add some dry parsley flakes, and "wet" them well in vinegar mixture.

Add your preferred kind of oil, a spoonful+, not making it too liquidy.

Add lettuce. All done!

I am told this skill of mine saved my marriage..!

Looks good! I do something similar, but I usually add a little bit of sugar, which enhances the flavours.

Yes, right!

Addition of a few raisins do the trick, somewhat.
