I have a question that some of you might know the answer to.

I have a Standard Squier Telecaster I am thinking of putting a full sized humbucker in the neck position.

The question is: does anyone know if the neck pickup rout is routed out on the standard tele for a full sized humbucker? Of course this would make it easier for me to do the job myself, otherwise I'll have to have it routed.

Also, when combining a single coil bridge tele pup with a full sized humbucker in the neck position, what do you do about the tone pot? Do you use a 250 or a 500 or what?

Advice appreciated.

As far as the pot goes, you could use a 500K and then throw a resistor in line with the bridge pickup. If the bridge is ballsy enough it might be able to handle the 500K. If you don't like it, adding a resistor would be a small matter.

No idea about the route though.

the neck should be routed for standard tele lipstick style single.
