Before I go to fleabay I thought if any Fretters were interested I would offer it here first. My Pod XT live is for sale for $285.00 shipped to the ConUS. Its six months old with the manual and like new. Reason for selling is Im just a dinosaur and like the old fashioned stomp boxes, with them I have the tone I want in seconds. I have spent many hours tweaking this thing and have arrived at the conclusion the whole modeling/digital thing is not my pleasure. Expensive lesson as it was $399.00 new. We live, we learn.

Sadly, this is a story I hear all too often regarding players who try digital modelers, and then later come to realize that there is a rather substantial learning curve involved in getting the tones that are lurking within it. Not saying that this is the case in your situation, but from my own personal experience, once I'd mastered some of the more important aspects of using the PODxt, things really started happening tone-wise.

Before you let go of this amazing piece of gear, might I suggest that you check out any one of the many POD-related forums, as they may have some information that could assist you in your tone-seeking endeavors. As well, the Line 6 Custom Tone site has a bazillion tones that you can download for nothing. Many have been developed by Line 6 gurus like Wolf Marshall and Rob Tognoni, and let me tell you - - these guys kick some serious boo-tay with the PODxt!

Here's a link to a POD-related thread I started some time ago that has a number of cool links where you can download tones (bottom of the page) - - here:

Line 6's Custom Tone site is here:

Line 6 POD Users Group at the Institute of Noise website:

Before you let you PODxt Live go, maybe you'd want to check out a few of these sources.

Ya as Nelskie has stated it would be a shame to let it go and loose money these moddlers can be trying at times thats why I keep all my old pedals in case I can't get what I want that minute....but then when time is available I get at moddeling a tone that works. Give that puppy another chance I've heard some amazing tones from other guys that just love that PODXT to death. The learning curve is deep but I said the same thing when I got my Eventide Harmonizer years ago....gives me something to do when the wife is nagging me with chores..LOL
