Hey guys,

My band is playing a benefit for an 11-year old girl who was hurt really bad a few weeks ago. A lot of the local businesses are ante-ing up stuff to raffle off... one item of interest is a Stagg S-250SB (Sunburst) strat-style guitar donated by Aroostook Music... our local shop.

I just got the guitar home today.. plugged it into my "blues rig", got it tuned up and started playing all sorts of different things.. different styles.. I gotta say, for a "less than $200 starter guitar", it's not a bad piece of equipment at all.. I was really surprised. The action is a little high for my liking, but more than playable.. intonation was spot-on, and is the closest strat-sounding strat knock-off I've ever heard.

I'm going to block the tremolo (it's a little floaty, which makes it a PITA to tune), or if I can find my stash of strat parts, put another spring in it... but am actually looking forward to playing it during the gig to give it a little "demonstration".
