Welcome to The Fret, Bow. Nice to see another Texan here.
You must live up 290 way. I'm a native Houstonian who lives in the Clear Lake area, & grew up in Spring Branch.

You'll love this place. Be sure to tell us more about your cool gear and anything else worth sharing.

Tig,

Yup.. live up around 290/1960.. but I work at Ellington Field... just up the road from you

I have more gear than I have talent, that is for sure.

I build small wattage tube amps for fun... and the only pedal I seldom use is a Wah.. besides that, not much exciting.

Sure.. I would post pics of the "Family" but you guys would think I'm a loon... the amount of guitars is Inversely proportional to the amount of ability... :thwap

Nice collection!

Tells us more about this amp. I love the control names! (noise, balls, honk, hair, ego)

Thanks,

The amp is my design, pair of 6v6s power section, 4 gain stages in the preamp...

http://riley-music.com/BowsStuff/MyAmps/6V6GutShot.jpg

I made the point to point boards, bent the sheet metal chassis, etc...

it will do about 15 watts

It doesn't do "clean", if you know what I mean :dude

We have several amp builders and electronic gurus here, so you found a place that will appreciate your work. :AOK
I'm guessing you are in aviation, being at Ellington and using a cornice brake on the sheet metal. I started out in aviation (Spartan graduate), but switched to IT. I've only built BYOC pedal kits so far, but an amp could be in the cards.

Pedals are a great place to start.
