I am working on a new Blues Licks product, which will be for sale later this summer, I hope. In the meantime, here is a blues lick you might have heard before. It sounds great over the IV chord, check this out.

You mentioned that SRV used variations of this lick a lot--check out his use of that V-IV version you showed at the end of the video in this clip of "Honey Bee" from the Carnegie Hall concert:

Right on Vood, I was sure SRV played that type of lick in some of his tunes, and this is a good example of it. I have heard him play the same idea when soloing over other tunes of his too. Good staple lick to have in the tool shed!
