I need some pots, and also agreed to help out our resident Finn, deeaa get the special ones he needs, hand-delivered -almost!, early August.

I plan to combine his and my order of pots from here (http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/electrical_ctspots.htm)

deeaa already expressed his choice parts.

Me? A little confused about shaft styles and such...

Which do I need to build new harnesses for these:
- Strat, 3 sgle coil?
- Strat, 2 P90
- 335 type, traditional 2-tone, 2-vol?

I don't need super grade stuff.

Try allparts or stewmac. They should have prepackaged kits for the strat and the Gibson layouts. Go for good CTS pots with splined shafts or you'll never get the right knobs.

Or, if you're feeling rich

I went with a component matched set of RS guitarworks pots and caps for my Gibby Les Paul swap. I am really super pleased with the outcome.
It may seem like more money but it is well worth it. The RS kits do what they are advertised to do. For me that is priceless. I had some issues with the installation, (done by a local shop) and one of the owners answered my email and the problem was fixed immediately. It was a misunderstanding by the tech at the shop. I emailed pics of the install and RS responded immediatley and pointed out the wiring error. Excellent Customer Service.
