Would you go for this (Blackheart Little Giant 5W Head) or a Carvin SX300 (http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/single.php?product=SX300)? I know that the Blackheart is a tubed amp while the SX300 is not, but I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Carvin SX300.

er... is there a Fret.net click-through into m123?

I may have to run the LG through a homemade cab. hmm

I've got a lopoline 1x12" Cab, cocoa brown, ported in the rear. It's got a Weber sig12 of some sort in there.

Anyways, if anyone does this BHLG deal and wants a cab, I'll send it somewhere for $75 + shipping.

If you go with the Carvin SX, I'd get a used one. Those amphs plummet in value from new and can be had very cheaply used.

My guitarist had one for a short time that he got for $50. It sounded OK, but he sold it for a small profit because he prefers tubes. Reliability is probably good, but the SX tone may be a bit on the sterile side.
