Hi all back again.The one Ive got for you now is How high or low should your strings be to the fretboard,Mine look like say 5 Milly from fret is that OK or should thay be lower.

You should probably try to get it as low as you can without getting fret buzz or anything like that.

Stratocaster setup guide (http://www.fender.com/support/stratocaster_setup_guide.php) from Fender. It gives starting values for string heights and other useful measurements.

In reality it's down to your playing style. If you have a light touch like me you can get away with as low an action as the guitar will take. If you have a really hefty right hand you'll need to take it up a bit.

5mm is about twice what you should have on any guitar. Your local shop can do this for you, ask for a basic setup.

2.5mm is what i use........... 5 is slide guitar action lol. if you get it down to low its going to kill your sustain though, its kind of a balancing act sometimes
