I guess it depends on what model it is,but that price seems on the high side for a CL used one.Sumi:D

I have one. It's okay, but a Squier Classic Vibe is much better.

The Squiers were made in Mexico for a short period of time, before they went to the far east... Japan, Korea, China, Mylasia, etc.
As I understand, the last ones that came out of Japan and Korea are some of the best.

Just a point of note, is this a Squier, or a Fender "Squier Series"? The reason I ask, the Fender "Squier Series" are Fenders, carved in the Cali plant and sent to Mexico and assembled with cheaper asian hardware (pickups, bridges, tuners, etc). These are Fender guitars, cheap, but Fenders none the less. I picked up one for under $100. Saw another one on CL for under $200.

Just tossing that out there.

I'm tentatively scheduled to meet someone this morning for a MiM Strat Squier Series ('94), to complement my MiM Tele Squier Series which is also a '94. I really like the neck on the Tele, I hope the one on the Strat is similar. Seller's asking $175, and if it's anything like my Tele, it's worth every penny.

How'd that work out for you? Did you end up getting it?

That meeting fell through, though I paid him 50$ via paypal to hold until today! So I'm meeting him this afternoon at 4:45. I'll let you know!

I got the '94 MiM Strat Squier Series. It's not in immaculate condition, it's been well used, unlike my '94 MiM Tele Squier Series, which the previous owner bought and put in a case, I think.

Here's a pick of my '94 MiM Squier Siblings

On an other note, I did upgrade (or degrade depending on how you look at it) the Tele. I put a Wilkenson ZVIntage bridge and a Mint Green PG on there, new pots (i bought solid shaft by accident, so I'm waiting for new knobs), a mallory .022 tone cap...and it already had a nice set of grover tuners on it. So it's a pretty nice axe right now, IMHO.

Here's a before:

And here's the after

Ad here's picture of my gear. I'm amp sitting for a friend, so the Randall, the big Boss Multieffect and looper are not mine. Also, apologize for the mess. But you can see my Vox Pathfinder, my BLues Jr. and my little Pedaltrain and my Samick P90.

Not to derail the thread (which is exactly what I'm doing), but how do you like the Randall half stack there, C64?

Nice buy! Body color scheme is exactly opposite of mine...
I'm going to rewire it and put it all in a new pickguard (3-ply, fully shielded).
I am guessing that you (like me) like the fatter neck that these have?

I haven't really messed with it other than to plug my Pathfinder 15 into the 4x12 Cab. My friend loves it though. He's a metal freak...big on Pantera, Sabbath, Metallica.

I'm working on an overhaul too. (http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=15999) I do like the neck, it's not quite as chunky as the one on the 2003 MiM Strat I had, but I still like it.
