Crate vintage club 50 into Carvin 4x10 cab

I have a crate vintage club it has a single 12 inch speaker marked 8 ohms. all the speakers in the carvin say 8 ohms. if i wire the Crate into the carvin will it work?

It depends on how the 4x10 cab is wired. If you are doing the wiring yourself, you want to wire it (the cab) with each pair of two speakers in series, then wire the pairs in parallel. If the speakers are each 8 ohm, that will give you the 8 ohm output you are looking for.

I had a Carvin 4x10 w/ 8 ohm spks. it was factory wired for 8 ohms.
You can run the Crate Head into the Carvin and you'll be fine.
But, if you try to run both the internal 8 ohm spk and the 8 ohm cab, you'll be at 4 ohms.

Does the amp have a 4 ohm output or a switch?
