I am a 13yr. old blues/classic rock solo performer. I gig regularly from Tampa to Ft. Myers and recently completed a tour of Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta where I played solo and sat in with alot of great musicians. See my website and You-Tube videos and let me know what you think.

I'm always looking for new venues to play, paying gigs, jams, or sitting in with great Blues bands. Let me know!

Welcome to The Fret, guitardragon.
I won't be able to see your youtube vid's until after work, but it looks like you are off to a great start. To love and play blues at 13 means it is in your soul naturally, which is really cool!

If you like Clapton, Beatles, Hendrix, etc., be sure to check out the music from Joe Bonamassa (he started playing professionally at your age, too), Stevie Ray Vaughan, Warren Haynes (his band is Gov't Mule, plus The Allman Brothers Band, and The Grateful Dead)
and then check out the guitarists that inspired all these guys, like Muddy Waters, BB King, Robert Johnson, Albert King, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, and on and on...

For good ol' rock be sure to check out Carlos Santana, Led Zeppelin/Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Aerosmith (their 70's albums), The Allman Brothers Band (Live at Fillmore East album is a must), Van Halen (first few albums), Pink Floyd/David Gilmour, Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler, etc., etc...

So many were left out, but if you were to listen to just a few of the best albums from each of these, you'll be very busy over the next year!

Hey GD! Welcome! My son is 12 going on 13 and a player too, though I cannot say he is into the blues that much. Good on ya!

OK, I've had a chance to watch a few videos, and wow, you have a natural talent that will carry you far!
Looks like you already know of some of the guitarists I mentioned above. :dude

-OK, here's an artist you may not know of that was one of the most tallented and the most connected to come along, Sean Costello (http://www.seancostellofund.org/sean-costello.html). Sadly, he died a few years ago and never made it big, but had several albums of great blues based music. At your age, he was getting noticed, too, and was quite a blues historian as well.
This video says quite a bit...

Wow. Another youngster that can totally kick my a$$ at guitar. You don't just play and sing well, you seem to have a real feel for the blues as well, which doesn't seem right for a young man your age, but there it is. Very nice!

Wow, at 13.

Bosstastic.

Welcome Mike. I'm up in Gainesville. Not much of a blues scene here. More of a punk/rock town.
