Found a used Fender Deluxe Strat from the 80s, with Lace Sensors. I be darned - it was awesome! Almost in the same class as my Suhr... very tempting to buy it - it was in fantastic shape, and well "worn in". They asked 1200 for it, bet I could say 900 and get it to a decent deal. This is Canada Dollars.

Then I tried the Suhr Badger 18. Man, this amp is fun! It's so cool with the power regulator knob. You can get saturated distortion at very low volume. I'm mostly impressed by the half dirty tones. It's so rich and full. Amazing. Tempting again... the only drawback is that it isn't very loud. I guess that's why Suhr now has the Badger 30 out.

Then I tried a Fryette One Twenty. Very interesting amp as well. One channel, with lots of ways to shape the tone. It sounded very modern, but with great crunch if you set it up right. Would be a great gigging amp I bet - it's quite loud if you need it to be.
