I built a 1.2 watt SE amp using the 5902 subminiature pentode and a 6112 dual triode so figure I would just post it here. The amp has two three position switches for gain and bias also five pots for reverb, gain, tone, volume and tube power level. On the back there are jacks for input, line out and speaker out. There is a speaker load in the amp so the amp can be used without a speaker as an input to another amp. The power is a 12VAC 1 Amp wall supply I still have not tried it but you should be able to power the amp from 12 volts DC.

For some reason I can not post pictures here?
Hope to have some sound clips to post in the future.

Looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to hear a clip. Is this something you built from scratch? Kit?

I designed the whole thing myself. It is a little too busy to be a kit I think. Plan on doing a 5902 push pull or a 6AQ5 with a 12AX7 preamp in the same box as the next project using one PCB that maybe a bit more user friendly. In the background of the pictures are the PCB layout and the schematic for the main amplifier PCB.

Yeah, I thought you must have designed it yourself, but wasn't sure when I saw the two PCB's. Did you design & etch those yourself?

That looks really cool! :) I'd love to build (or at least try to! :o ) a small, low voltage amp myself. The next project that You mentioned, will that also be a 12 Volt version?

That's incredibly awesome! Great job... How does it sound?

BTW... I like the way you labeled where each tube goes. Makes it Robert-proof!

Sorry, Robert... couldn't resist!:poke

I laid the boards out using the ExpressPCB schematic and layout software then bought the boards for 60 bucks for three boards from them. Plan on using a 12VAC wall supply on the other amps also but the current draw will be higher then the 900mA AC of this one. There is a 150volt boost switching supply in the amp so the tubes are not running low voltage. I need to get someone to do the clips for me I am not much of a guitar player. If I feel that I can get things to where someone else could build one of these amps based on documentation that I would write I would like to make a kit out of it. I estimate the price would be approx 150 bucks plus or minus 30 bucks for everything. On the tubes they are soldered into the PCB so you need to get them right before the decal goes on.
