OK, I did do a search and didn't find what I was looking for exactly.

So, my question is, does anyone here know what year Gibson begn plekking their necks?

The reason I ask is because the new LP Studio I played at GC likely had that done and was a shear delight to play. Now I want to know if I might be able to find a used one that's had the treatment???

Thanks much,

NWB

I read some where on line that gibson has there own Plek setup in house.
But if you are looking in to getting one of your own axes pleked go to their web site.

They have a place in LA they have a place in the Bay area & Bellevue, Wa.
check out their web site http://www.plek.com/en_US/kontakt/get-pleked/usa/

Right Maxi, Mike Lull Guitarworks has a plek machine and is right next to my office (oh the temptations!), but I was thinking if I could spare the cost and get one already done by Gibson.

I know Gibson has one, but I don't when they started actually using it on the studios.

Jason, try looking here (http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/). These guys know their LPs. Looks like around 2006.
