Anyone have any direct experience with the Durham Electronics Crazy Horse distortion/fuzz pedal? (linked below) It is supposed to nail the Crazy Horse sound, and be versatile enough to dial in some others. Thoughts?

I saw one of those at Music Go Round last week actually. Didn't try it and didn't get a price on it used. After clicking the link you posted I remembered what it looked like along with the catchy name. Hmmm I wonder if it's still there to try.....

Oh, please go try if you have time. Your review would be . . . fascinating. :DR I can't find anywhere around here to try it. I am interested in the overdriven fender Crazy horse noise, but also it is supposed to be a versatile fuzz/distortion pedal as well. As I don't have any, I was considering it as a first pedal.

I'll see what I can do. I'm going to lunch now so I'll zip over there to see if it's still there.

Thanks. By the way, Spock was one of my heroes growing up. I couldn't stand Bones and his hysterics. I am a bit more tolerant now. Live long and prosper!

go check 'em out. (thanks Spud!)

Oh also they sold that fuzz unit this weekend sorry. It would have been cool to try it out and give you a report. Things move fast in that place. They also sold the mint condition Mahogany bodied Gibson Les Paul Studio that was there for $600! I knew that puppy would sell fast.

I am a Trekkie from wayyy back. Although I have never been to a ST convention. "Sulu and Chekov" (George and Walter) will be in attendance here in town for the NM Symphony's 40th Anniversary celebrational performance of Star Trek music. That would kinda be cool to listen to in a nerdy sorta way. :)

Hey, while not a convention goer, I can relate to my inner trekkie, and my inner luke skywalker, inner northern ranger of middle earth and other nerdy things. Also, I do love a good chicken dance, Oktoberfest beer in hand of course. I have just accepted my dorkiness. Who am I trying to impress anyway as a middle aged father of 3. As Devo said,

We're though being cool . . .

It is much more freeing. :DR

Thanks for trying on the pedal. Keep an eye out everyone!
