View Full Version : Roland UA-1G/Prop Record/Castar

Today I bought a Cakewalk/Roland UA-1G. I installed Propellerhead Reason and Record on my little Atom processor netbook (which is way below spec for either software). I then hooked up the UA-1G interface to the netbook and amazingly it works! I've been wanting an easy to carry solution for practicing/recording during my business trips and this looks like the solution.

The UA-1G is quite small, has excellent sound for such an inexpensive interface and with no discernable latency. Very nice. I may decide to bring a more powerful computer with a 14 inch screen instead as I suspect I won't be getting too many tracks with the little Acer. Also the display is too small to fit the interface comfortably. Still though, I'm amazed. I'd never get that to work in Pro Tools...
