Cool! Yet another useful lick for the toolbox.

I've used the first part of that lick for quite a while, but not with the 2nd part. Thanks, RR--will definitely give that a try! :rockya

Thanks DVM! :)

When I watch you and other great guitarists demo'ing gear on youtube, it always hits me...
Man, they sure have a huge library of licks at their fingertips. I know that takes years to develop, and that is where the "toolbox" I mentioned comes in. So many chord progressions, styles, runs, licks, etc., etc.

If I could just remember every lick I've learned, I'd be twice as good as I am now. OK, that doesn't say much!

Good point! You remember them by playing them over and over. Write them down too! GP6 is fantastic for this. Then purposely play a few these licks to several different backing tracks. Make it a lesson for yourself to find a way to fit them into the songs. THEN, you'll remember them. :) Maybe.

Hi Robert. Are you playing all down strokes on this lick?

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill, no I'm not. I use an upstroke on the high E string - all the other ones are downstrokes (G and B strings). Makes sense?

Yes, that makes sense. I can see it now. Thanks. :)
