Well, I pulled the trigger, and I am JACKED!!!
Went for a brand new offering from Nolatone Ampworks, the "ROTTEN JOHNNY". It is just plain bad A*S.
A very crunchy British overdrive...Fender-type cleans.

1X12 hand wired combo
15 watts
2 6V6, Cathode biased.
2 12AX7
Celestion Heritage Greenback
Ext cab output
Effects loop
footswitchable boost for the tone stack
Mercury Magnetics Transformers

Cool gain configuration too, with pre and post gain controls and a PPI master volume.

I was offered an amp show demo from Cliff Cultreri at Destroy All Guitars (http://www.destroyallguitars.com/nolatone), and it was just too good to pass up, with just a couple hours of playing time on it. It's the "creamsickle" color scheme, just like these pics.
I'll post some pics and clips as soon as it gets here.

Sweet! Congrats... Looks like that little monster has everything you need and nuthin' you don't!

If you're able, post a clip of the amph in action when you get it.

Many screamin' solos to ya!

Hmm. I don't think I'd heard anything from that company before. Can you tell us more?

Hey Rev.

Paul Sanders is the man behind Nolatone Ampworks, and his shop is located in the Atlanta area. A little more about the builder here (http://www.nolatone.com/about_us.html)

I had been somewhat familiar with a couple of his amps already, like the Chimey Limey, and the June Bug.

Get a load of this tone :

The Rotten Johnny is quite new, so there aren't many out there yet. But here's an amp show clip with Paul Sanders (with credit to Premier Guitar)

Very nice choice! I've seen a few demo videos, and yes, they are excellent amphs. They are right up there with Reinhardt, 65 amps, Swart, Carr, etc.

Keep us updated... :dude

Interesting way that he's done the tone controls, especially with taking the mid control right out. Amazing how much it loads the signal. I also would have expected that it would be more expensive than it is.
