I live in a pretty cool place...backwards in many ways, but for outdoors stuff it's awesome.

This weekend the Spuds went to The City of Rocks in southern Idaho. It's a really interesting valley where 2 billion year old chunks of rock are exposed and you can climb all over them. This valley was also the route of the California Trail, the trail the settlers used to get to the west coast.

That's me up on top of this. It was a really small point. No where to stand upright and the wind was howling.

Hey bud, as you know, I was there with the "graduating" Webelo cubs in spring of '09. We got rained on hard, but that place is cool! Great for scrambling around. We had an experienced climber Dad that was going to hook up some belays and lines, but that part got rained out. I want to go back this year. Glad you had fun!

Wow, that really is a cool looking place! I've never seen anything quite like it.
I remember the wagon wheel ruts still being visible in/near Boise.

Kinda reminds me of the Needles when we drove through that area.
