Time to get into the season. I love Halloween parties and dressing up. Show us your pics of your costumes from years past, or this year, or whatever. My favorite of all time is when I dressed up as Calvin and my wife (then girlfriend) dressed up as Hobbes, and we chased each other all around the party. I will have to dig up a pic of that if I can find it. Meanwhile, here is a good one from a couple years ago.

I don't really get into dressing up. But I like halloween, and I like to see people dress up. My wife and my daughters like to dress up. My wife makes the girls' costumes. She's working on her own too, but it isn't done yet. But here's a couple pics of the girls...

This will be Ella's third Halloween.

So far she's been a monkey...

... and an elephant...

What will it be this year? Stay tuned.

Great pics of the kids guys! When I was first year in law school, a bunch of the third years dressed up as smurfs and were a riot!

And Spud, I knew that one was coming when I posted the thread. :saw: :rollover

Hey, I just watched that last night!

Great! I am going to pull it out early and watch it too, probably more than once before the holiday is over. I love those old shows!

Ok, the day is here. Happy Halloween everyone! We carved pumpkins last night, and have a neighborhood party which will provide home base for trick or treating tonight. Whatcha all doing? Also, I am sure some more fretters will dress up now that the day is here. Remember to take pics and share!

Sorry, we don't really do Halloween over here. It's slowly gaining popularity, they do it in Kindergartens sometimes, and we used to have a Halloween party at the university English department back in the day.

Our kid who goes to English-speaking kindergarten had a 'Bakugan' suit though. Didn't take a pic.

Hoping for a better pic later, but here is mine for the year.

Good sir knight, join me on my quest, . . . for the Grail!

Good one! :thumbsup

King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): We have ridden the length and breadth of the land in search of knights who will join me in my court at Camelot. I must speak with your lord and master.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): What? Ridden on a horse?
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): Yes!
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): You're using coconuts!
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): What?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): You've got two empty halves of coconut and you're bangin' 'em together.
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): So? We have ridden since the snows of winter covered this land, through the kingdom of Mercia, through...
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Where'd you get the coconuts?
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): We found them.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): What do you mean?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Well, this is a temperate zone
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): Not at all. They could be carried.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): What? A swallow carrying a coconut?
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): It could grip it by the husk!
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your master that Arthur from the Court of Camelot is here?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?
King Arthur (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001037/): Please!
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001589/): Am I right?

LOL!! As I took the kids around trick or treating, I banged my coconuts in that horsey way, and you should have seen the smiles and heard the laughs. First costume I have had with such an audible quality. I had to bang my own coconuts as I had trouble locating my faithful servant Patsy.

Tried to convince my wife to go as Zoot. (Bad Zoot, I need a spanking!) but no luck.

Nice costume Steve. :)

This year Ella was a fairy princess...

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm26/J_K_19/IMG_2990.jpg

She had a lot more fun trick-or-treating this year now that she's old enough to understand what's happening.

Of course, you mean "tits", as in the mighty tufted titmouse bird of North America, which Spud has been confused with before.
If not, I'll leave you two alone!

Ha!

I don't know that I have a single photo of myself in costume. On this last Saturday I played with Cinnamon Hill (the "hippie" side band) and went as a generic "army man," since that's pretty much how I usually dress anyhow, haha. Was wearing these camos and boots (photo from Cr ash Pad show 10/14):

http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/152/l_9eac7527adfb4b46a4506380ddd00c18.jpg

Instead of the black t-shirt shown, I wore an olive-drab band shirt turned inside out, with a green 4-pocket shirt-jacket over it, the jacket being this style:

http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6811/1158521565b83e44372.jpg

I don't know that anyone knew it was a "costume."

After I got over the initial shock, I zoomed in on the guitars as well. We're a predictable lot.

Our twin grandsons. They are 14 months are running all over the place.
