ok ive just had a sick idea of installing a bigsby on an accoustic. only thing is i dont know whether or not it will work well and i dont want to mod or b**ger up my guild. so i was thinking knock off bigsbyish vibrato on an argos special. only problem is is it worth it just as an experiment

Cool, I've never noticed that on the Brian Adams cover before...

I'd guess that there would have to be some bracing installed under the bridge?

Otherwise, might be a cool mod.

Yeah, I would think there would have to be some serious bracing, which would seem to make it a plugged-in instrument, rather than really unplugged. I just don't see how you could get real good vibration out of a nice acoustic top with all that hardware and a bunch of bracing.

Ibanez made a couple of flattops with vibratos years ago. They weren't around for very long. A laminated top would be a good idea but I can't think how you'll get enough break angle over the bridge.
