Here is lesson #2 in the "Subdivision of Time for Rhythm Guitar" series: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/content.php?347-Subdivision-of-Time-for-Rhythm-Guitar-Eighth-Notes

The next lessons in the series will be on triplets, sixteenth notes and my favorite "how to build a guitar part from what the drummer is playing" (I'll have a cooler name for it when I get it done http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/images/smilies/s.gif)

Also, each of the "Blues Sweet Spot" lessons now has a downloadable mp3!
I was finding that most of my students here in the studio were learning the scale patterns but not really learning the licks as melodies that stand on their own for vocabulary building. You can download the mp3'as in each lesson and use them to help you memorize the melody for each lick. Thats when you'll actually be getting the usefulness of each lesson.

Maybe try putting them on a CD or your mp3 player and listen to them in the car or someplace where you don't have an instrument handy...try to be able to sing each lick from melody and then go back to the instrument and play the licks.

And lastly, we have a live clinic with blues drummer Paul Fasulo webcast on uStream.tv this Saturday: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/content.php?346-The-first-episode-of-Tom-Harkenriders-Blues-Interview-Peformance-show-is-coming!

Tom Harkenrider is interviewing Paul and playing some tunes...I might even sit in!

Awesome!

Thanks! It's not 100% new material but I needed to have this lesson to make the series complete and I hope I went a little more in depth....

Any resource I can use to keep working on and honing this area of skill is much appreciated.

:)

It's something I'm always working on, too...it seems like its never ending.
