Any Fretters around Guelph, who would like to meet up and go for a coffee or something?

I'll be there from Friday to Sunday. On Saturday, I'm running National Championships for the first time EVER! Shall be fun!

I'm in the old guys category - Masters, 40-45 age category.

Cheer for me but don't say "break a leg"! :D

Good luck on the weekend Rob. You've really been getting around lately, or is it just to escape -31... even for a short while. :)

Thanks man, too bad we don't have any guitar players I know in Guelph!

Got up at 3:45 this morning only to get stuck here at the airport ... Flight delayed 3 hours.... Grrrrr.... :(
I guess I'll have a nap now.

That sucks, Robert.

Run fast and have fun when you get there! We'll be waiting for the report on how it went when you get back.

Good luck Robert!

My wife got stuck in Saskatoon last night trying to get to Calgary and then home. She got home a few hours ago.. man, is this an early winter or what?

Had a great race and was 7th overall. The weather was brutal. Heavy snow and wind. But it was exciting! My time was great for me, just over 27 minutes.

Well done Robert. I live about 1.5 hours away from Guelph. It was bitter cold and windy today. It must have been tough running. It got a little better later in the day when the sun came out. I missed the thread but I was tied up today and will be travelling tomorrow.
Hope we left a good impression here in the South. I know Guelph pretty well.
What was the course layout? There are a few hills near the Speed river, against the wind it would be tough.
Did you fly into Toronto or Hamilton?

Robert I see that it was Cross Country. That is a whole different ballgame. I thought it was a regular Marathon type run. I read your blog and that would have been tough. So in light of that, 6th is even better.

Zman, we flew into Toronto and drove. Lots of rush hour traffic around 4:30... pain in the butt.

The course was at the University of Guelph`s Arboretum and there was one fairly large hill on a 2 km loop.

Weather was bitterly cold when we ran, that's for sure!

Video from the race here - http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=videos&year=2010&pg=1&event_id=4870&video_id=34435&folder_id=recent&offset=17#video

Can you see me? I was in the top 4 at the beginning, behind that tall guy.
