Orianthi is extraordinarily talented. It's just too bad that most of her music is throwaway pop.

Very Slash-like. Pretty cool though.

Well, I'm not very impressed. I do know that she can play, but all I can really hear is the OTHER guitarist. She doesn't capture much of the vibe of how I think the song should be portrayed. I hear no angst or soul, mostly riffs. I know she's capable of better so I don't think this does much for her reputation.

I think Chantel McGregor pulls it off more authentically and it's just her on guitar.

I recently saw a documantation of a Canadian monk who once played in a rockband. During that documentation he played a tremendous rendition of Voodoo Child SR on a 12-sting acoustic. Unfortunately, I missed to remember his name or the name of the band he played in.

Dang, you ain't kidding! That is how the song is played, and played well.

Orianthi might be able to play, but I have yet to see/hear anything that puts her near the level that marketing has placed her at.
