DADDAD or DADGAD? I'm not well-versed (OK, at-all-versed) in alternate tunings like that. How would that compare to playing it in standard tuning?

Nice cover. Yeah, it does almost beg for vocal harmonies, doesn't it. My threshold for folk music is relatively low, but this is one that I really like.
