I must admit, I've never played an Epi, but this new take on a Goldtop (http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Epiphone/Tak-Matsumoto-DC/Features.aspx) looks pretty darn cool.

I don't like the fret inlays but the rest is nice. I am actually entertaining getting a Joe Bonamassa Epi LP.

Too much dead shellfish for my tastes but it's nice to see the LPDC shape breaking into the Epi line. It's a good "lighter Lester" design.
FWIW, I don't like the position of the switch either, just looks wrong.

If Epiphone would clone the LP Deluxe with the small humbuckers I'd be all over one of those. Still this double cut looks somewhat interesting.

Gary Moore played tons of DCs. I really like them. Maybe the DC is the most underrated Gibson design.

That is a nice double cut, but at $1500 it seems overpriced. The Bonamassa is more guitar for the money, I'd say.

All things considered, I think I'd buy an Agile GT over an Epi. More bang for the buck.
