So I'm looking for a project guitar, and someone has offered to sell me an Aspen Les Paul copy. I can't find too much about them, but from what I have found it seems like it could be a pretty decent guitar.

Does anyone have one of these, or know anything about them? When they were made, when they stopped making them. What kind of wood they were made out of? From what I found it looks like they began making them in Japan, and eventually started making them in China, any help on where they were made would be helpful too.

Thanks!

Here's all I could find:
"Aspen was a brand name of a distributor, the International Music Corporation (IMC), of Fort Worth, Texas.

At least from the mid-to late 1980s, these instruments were made in Korea, but earlier ones probably came from sources in Japan."

Don't offer more than say 75 bucks. Should be a fun guitar to rip apart :)

Funny you say that. He's asking 75. It comes pre-torn apart with no pickups as well haha.
