Is is a fun guitar that has a real growly sound when needed... I recorded "Watching The Waves" with it... Definately need to work on my slide technique though LOL

Did you get the paint out of the neck pocket and the mating surface of the neck? Wood to wood mating is what brings out the sound. I found that out when I cleaned the neck pocket on my Epi telecaster.

YA, I chipped out a buncha overflow inside the pocket, and yer right, it sure has a solid connection... the resonance is throughout the whole guitar... :dance

I used to do alot of Antique furniture refinishing, so I am fairly fastidious about these things. :french

I refinished one of my guitars by sanding the poly off, stained it with cherry stain and shellacked it. It brought the grains out.

Not a fantastic piece of wood but it resonates well. It was hand made by a luthier.
