One of my all time favorite bands. These guys are so tasteful and really get yer groove on.

Here's a cover of China Grove. I used a backing track I found on the interwebs sans guitar parts. I also added to this backer with Band in a Box to really fill it out. For guitar parts, I used my Charvel SoCal and Kramer Pacer which I recorded via PodXT. The whole enchilada was mixed in Mackie Tracktion 2.

Hope it makes you stomp your feet! Just click on the image to play.

We played some Doobies in just about every band I was in. I've seen them a few times (the old days when they were really enjoyable) and met the bass player long ago when I was in high school.
They have more talent than some of their songs lead you to believe and if you get away from some of the hits, there's some very good songs.

However, I only get a jpeg file when I use your link and no music.

Strange...it seems to work fine in several browers. Hmmm. Thanks for attempting a listen :)

Perhaps I'll just leave the direct link....

That works!
Me like. Reminds me of the mid 70's when would jam with that one.
Who's singing? Sounds like Joe Walsh (I mean that as a compliment)

I might like your tone better than the original. Nice stuff.

I really like a lot of the Doobie Bros stuff, at least before Michael McDonald took over.

Really? Interesting. I do like McDonald's voice and feel he did contribute much to the band during his tenure. They have great stuff prior to and after him but I think one of my favorite tracks is with MM on Taking it to the Streets.

Thanks for taking a listen to this. :thumbsup
