Wow! John Waite - New Album Rough & Tumble

Bought John Waite's latest album called Rough & Tumble last saturday.

If you like great songwriting and vocals, combined with superbly honest and unpretentious rocking songs, this could give you a thrill.

This album is running non stop on my iPod. The guitarist plays a nice Tele with HBs, which proves another time that this is a deadly good combination for accurate rock sounds.

Amazing how dry the vocal is, but it's very present.

Funny story - my hometown drummer from my original band in high school went to LA and he got an audition with a guy that he called a Rod Stewart kind of singer. He didn't think the guy would go very far so he didn't really try at the audition...the singer was John Waite. It worked out any way. Drummer came home and became a millionaire in the electronic gaming and casino business. I would have rather been a rock star. Different strokes, eh.
